She graduated with a Master’s degree in English Philology with a pedagogical profile in English Literature from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski.” She is an English language teacher with over 30 years of professional experience working with both children and adults.

She began her primary education in London and completed high school in Leeds, United Kingdom.

She has been an English teacher at “Meridian 22” School since its founding in 1993, teaching in both the school and the “Meridian 22” kindergarten.

She has been part of the leadership team at “Meridian 22” School since 1997. In 2001, she completed a specialization in TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language) at the University of California, San Diego, USA.

For many years, she led the school’s English-language drama club.

Graduated from St. Kliment Ohridski University in Sofia with a degree in Biology and Chemistry. She is a highly valued specialist with over 30 years of professional experience in education, including 15 years as a Deputy Head and certified evaluator of the state matriculation exams in Biology and Health Education. As a teacher trainer at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, she actively contributed to the training and development of future teachers.

Graduated from St. Kliment Ohridski Sofia University in 1993. She has a Master's degree in Primary School Pedagogy and more than 30 years of pedagogical experience. She is the author of textbooks, workbooks, and teaching aids in Bulgarian of the Klet Publishing House. She is a primary teacher at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. She has been a Deputy Headmistress of Academic Activities for 5 years now.

Ms. Kristina Krasteva, as Deputy Director of Private Junior High School “Meridian 22”, is dedicated to the mission of providing high-quality and inspiring education.

She graduated from Plovdiv University “Paisii Hilendarski” with a Bachelor’s degree in Preschool and Primary School Pedagogy and a Master’s degree in “English Language and Methodology.”

She holds international qualifications related to teaching English as a native and second foreign language.

With over 15 years of experience as a teacher and administrator, she contributes with enthusiasm and vision to the creation of an educational environment where every teacher, student, and parent feels confident, supported, and engaged in strengthening the community of “Meridian 22” School.

She graduated in Philosophy from St. Kliment Ohridski University in Sofia. Ms. Dobreva has specialized in “Methodology of teaching philosophical disciplines”, “Psychodynamics of groups and organizational behavior”, “Career counseling”, “Prevention of violence in adolescence”, and “Positive psychotherapy” – basic level counselor. She has many years of teaching and consulting experience, an expert in personal development. 

Master of Philosophy from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. Two specializations at the Faculty of Philosophy of Sofia University: “Assessment of School Readiness” from the Department of Psychology, and “Psychosocial Development and Methods for Overcoming Aggressive Behaviour in Children” under the aegis of UNICEF. She has 38 years of experience in the education system, including 23 as a pedagogical advisor.

A graduate of the National School of Culture in Gorna Banya. She has a Master’s degree in special pedagogy from St. Kliment Ohridski University in Sofia. Ms. Doneva is a specialist in speech therapy and auditory-speech rehabilitation from St. Kliment Ohridski University in Sofia. She has a Certificate in teaching English as a foreign language to young learners and  qualifications as a “Bulgarian folk dancer”. In addition to being the Head of the Kindergarten and a primary school teacher, Ms. Doneva works as a speech therapist in the Kindergarten and the Junior High School. She teaches music and folk dance as well.

She has won national creative writing awards in her school days and she brings her love of literature to her work as a teacher. Mrs. Ignatova has created original scripts, showing individual attitude towards the personality of her pupils. She initiates creative activities and projects that cultivate a love of reading. As one of the longest-serving teachers at Meridian 22, she believes that school is a second home.

A graduate of St. Kliment Ohridski Mathematical High School in Montana. Holds a Master's degree in Preschool and Primary School Pedagogy from St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo. Also holds a Master's degree in Accounting and Control and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from the University of National and World Economy (UNWE) in Sofia.

She has over 10 years of experience working in international educational institutions.

She holds a Master’s degree in Bulgarian Philology from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, Faculty of Slavic Philology, and is a specialist in Bulgarian language and literature, and a teacher in secondary schools. She has a specialization in Linguistics and a Second-class qualification. Mrs. Hristova is a long-time expert in Bulgarian language and literature at the Regional Department of Education – Sofia with the Ministry of Education and Science. She is a methodology teacher trainer with more than 20 years of pedagogical practice. Author and co-author of books with tests.

Mr. Reece Buchanan brings with him over a decade of experience in the education field, from graduating “Medieval and Early Modern History” at Bangor University to his certification in numerous different thinking skills based methodologies, among many more workshop authorisations. He leads with vast experience on a subject level, a depth of methodological knowledge and experience as a supervisor and examinations officer.

Alumna of Baba Tonka High School of Mathematics in Ruse. Bachelor’s degree in Applied Linguistics – English Teacher from the New Bulgarian University, and included in the Best Students of 2006 collection of the University. Language assistant under the Comenius programme in Catalonia, Spain in 2007. Mrs. Zhivkova has been an English language teacher at Meridian 22 Junior High School for 17 years.

She has professional experience as a German language teacher and a translator. Currently, she teaches German in the junior high school – first and second stage, and at Meridian 22 High School.

Graduate of the Mathematical High School Konstantin Velichkov in Pazardzhik. Master’s degree in Physics and Mathematics – Teacher from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. He has been teaching Maths at Meridian 22 Junior High School since 2005.

Alumna of Paisii Hilendarski High School of Mathematics in Sofia. Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering from the Technical University. She obtained a professional qualification as a teacher in Mathematics and Informatics at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. She has twenty years of experience as a teacher with an individual approach to every child and rich pedagogical experience. Her aim is that everyone understands maths and loves it. She is a teacher at Meridian 22 Junior High School, at the National High School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics Academician Lyubomir Chakalov, and leads courses to prepare students for the national external assessment in mathematics  

Graduated from the New Bulgarian University with an additional qualification from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski – Applied Informatics. She has a 5th-grade Professional Qualification Degree from the Department of Information and Teacher Development of Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. Mrs. Georgieva has been actively involved in training and professional development courses, from which she has obtained certificates and attestations. She has participated in an Erasmus project titled Tablets and Smartphones: The Use of Mobile Devices as a Teaching Tool, in Dublin, Ireland.

He graduated from New Bulgarian University with a degree in History. He obtained a teaching qualification from UNIBIT. He also holds a professional qualification from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” to teach psychology and philosophical subjects in secondary school.

She is a teacher in Fine Arts, and Technologies and Entrepreneurship. She has obtained a Master’s degree in Engineering Design from the Technical University in Sofia, and is currently studying Semiotics and Pedagogy of Fine Arts at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski.

He graduated from the National Sports Academy "Vasil Levski" with a Bachelor's degree in "Physical Education Teaching." His second specialization is "Football Coaching." In his work as a teacher, he is convinced that the foundation of quality teaching lies in setting a personal example and having the ability to inspire independent thinking, collaboration, and teamwork in children. He is a certified professional ski instructor with BPSI (Bulgarian Professional Ski Instructors). He also serves as a referee in the rankings of the Bulgarian Football Union (BFU). In 2022, he represented Bulgaria at the elite international UEFA CORE (Center of Referee Excellence) course in Geneva, Switzerland.

His motto is rooted in the belief that being a good teacher is a responsibility and a commitment to the successful physical and personal development of children.

He has a Master’s degree in Philosophy St. St. Cyril and Methodius from Veliko Tirnovo University. Mr. Nikolov is a chess coach at the children’s “Knight” Sports Club . Candidate Master of Sports. One of the first coaches of FM WGM Beloslava Krasteva and FM WIM Gergana Peycheva from the Bulgarian team and a European women’s chess champion for 2023. His students from the Meridian 22 School are Bozhidar Nikolov – a medalist from the state championships for students, and Sofia Belicheva – a three-time champion of the “Borovets” Chess Academy. His students from Meridian 22 are cup winners of the “Golden Pawn” team championship, organized by the Sofia Municipality.  

He is currently the coach of the Classical Chess Champion Team for 2024 of Bulgarian girls under 10, and the Absolute Team Champions for 2023 and 2024 of Bulgarian boys under 14.

He graduated from the Vasil Levski National Sports Academy with a Bachelor’s degree in Coaching and a Master’s degree in Sports Animation. He holds a Football Coach license after graduating from the Bulgarian Coaching School, and a Football Coach Certificate after completing a training course under the UEFA Grassroots programme. He had a one-week internship at one of the biggest academies in the world, “Dinamo” Zagreb. For 12 years now, he has been a football coach of Meridian 22 students, winners of a number of tournaments in Sofia and throughout the country. 

I love my work with children very much! They are my motivation! Seeing the joy and confidence in the eyes of my little football players after a good game and a won match is the most amazing feeling for me!

She graduated from the National School of Dance Art as a classical ballet dancer.  She continued her education at the Prof. Pancho Vladigerov National Academy of Music in Sofia, from where she obtained a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Ballet Pedagogy with various dance disciplines. Mrs. Spasova has 18 years of professional dance art experience, teaching at kindergartens, schools, and her ballet school “Alice”. She has created choreographies, miniatures, performances, and stage costumes. She has organized concerts and celebrations and her ballet school “Alice” has participated in charity concerts and performances. The ballerinas she trains participate in competitions and festivals, winning prestigious awards.
