Meridian 22 Ltd., founded in 1990 by Engr. Radka Stamenova, is an established name not only in Bulgarian education but also as a representative for Bulgaria of leading colleges and universities abroad – in Great Britain, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Spain, Greece, USA, Canada, etc.

Twenty-five years ago, Engr. Radka Stamenova signed a contract for exclusive representation in Bulgaria of Saint Andrew’s College in Cambridge, UK, with its owner Mr. Mervyn Martin. Saint Andrew’s College was established in 1976 as the first independent private college, offering high school education leading to an English diploma of secondary education.

During the long-term, successful partnership between the Meridian 22 School and Saint Andrew’s College, some of our students who had finished 7th grade continued their studies there and graduated with an English diploma of completed secondary education. Groups of students, accompanied by English teachers, attend Select English summer language courses at Saint Andrew’s College to this day.

The two-week summer language holidays in the UK, which we organise every year, are a significant contribution to the success of intensive English language learning throughout the entire cycle of education – from preschool to the 12th grade – offered by the Meridian 22 School.

The Select English summer language courses have spun off into a separate company and Meridian 22 School continues to represent them.

For summer 2025, Meridian 22 School is once again offering summer courses in Culford, Cambridge from 6th to 19th July for junior high school students (up to 14 years old) and in Cambridge Juniors from 13th to 26th July for high school students (aged 14 to 18).

Culford is a magnificent 2,000-acre estate that houses one of the most prestigious private schools in England. Surrounded by lush greenery, the estate offers extensive sports fields, playgrounds, academic buildings, separate boarding houses for boys and girls, a library, a cafeteria, a dining hall, and a restaurant where students enjoy their meals.

The school's location, at a safe distance from the nearest town, ensures a secure and protected environment for children.

English lessons—primarily delivered through interactive activities—are conducted by experienced teachers. Students learn in small groups of up to 12, with two teachers per class, in comfortable and well-equipped classrooms.

In Culford, our students take part in a variety of exciting activities each day after their English lessons, including arts and crafts, sports, outdoor games, cooking and baking, discos, and more. On weekends, they go on trips to thrilling destinations such as London, Norwich, and Bury St Edmunds, where they visit famous landmarks, try local and international cuisine, and enjoy shopping in major retail centres.

For secondary school students, we organise a summer school at Cambridge Juniors. As a globally renowned academic hub, Cambridge—alongside Oxford—remains one of the most sought-after destinations for ambitious young people. A two-week stay in Cambridge leaves students with a newfound confidence, thanks to their improved language skills and exposure to diverse cultural experiences.

Exploring Cambridge’s 31 historic colleges, the oldest of which dates back to 1208, immersing themselves in centuries-old traditions, and experiencing the city’s vibrant multicultural atmosphere—shaped by students from around the world—make for truly unforgettable memories.

Last but not least, our students become part of an international community where language barriers simply disappear. It takes only a few days to form lasting friendships with children from across the globe—friendships that often last a lifetime.

Last but not least, is the international children’s community in which the students find themselves and which knows no language boundaries. A few days are enough to give birth to lasting friendships with children from all over the world.
