Day of the Enlighteners

The Day of the Enlighteners — that timeless celebration of the resurrected Bulgarian spirit, of the power of knowledge, and of the immortality of the heroism and self-sacrifice of our forefathers. A holiday that makes the connection between past, present, and future eternal.

The seventh-grade students moved everyone with the fire and passion of the majestic verses of the Revival poet Dobri Chintulov. Mr. Hristovich stirred our hearts with the commanding call of the trumpet, reminding us of the greatness, the valor, and the readiness of Bulgarians to defend the eternal ideals of justice and freedom.
