Yesterday, the students of “Meridian 22” High School turned the school yard into a place filled with children’s laughter, games, and cheerful spirit!

The May celebration for children and parents was organized by the Interact Club at “Meridian 22,” with the active participation of students from the IB Diploma Programme, who took part as part of their CAS programme.

Our high school students were everywhere — helping with the organization, leading activities, playing with the children, dancing, and creating that warm atmosphere that cannot be planned, but simply happens when young people put their hearts into what they do. 

Although the rainy weather forecast likely discouraged some of the families who had planned to attend, the celebration was filled with smiles and genuine joy.

A special guest at the event was the Mayor of the “Mladost” district, Ivaylo Kukurin, who opened the celebration and greeted the children, parents, and students.

The young guests took part in a variety of activities:
• chalk drawing on the pavement
• a creative bead workshop
• sports games with balls, balloons, and hoops
• musical activities with songs and interesting instruments
• traditional folk dances

During the celebration, parents, teachers, and the school leadership also joined together in several traditional Bulgarian horo dances, bringing joy to the whole neighborhood.
